This is my Westy that I purchased from the original owner, who purchased it in Europe, enjoyed it there and then shipped it back to California shortly thereafter. I am the second owner. The vans paint and interior is all original. The mileage is authentic 71,828 original miles. It has Ronal 16 inch R28 type wheel w/ Falken 215/55r16 tire that fit nicely with no fender modifications. The van has its original VW am/fm cassette stereo. Being a auto shop owner and technician the van has received the best care and maintenance it could. The van needs nothing mechanically and cosmetically speaking its mint for the age and original condition. The drivers door has a ripple in it by the front hinges, I guess it opened up too far sometime and stress the metal, prior to my ownership. I have not wanted to fix it just because all the paint is still original. The bumpers have a wave in them , minor. The mud flap for the propane tank is half there. Some of the interior vinyl shelf paper stuff is pealing off the paneling, I have removed most of the loose stuff. It got a poor window tinting job prior to me. The canvas top is original w/ no tears. I have the privacy curtains, the one for the front window is torn by the rear view mirror. Some of the curtain vinyl pull back straps are broken. The van is waxed and detailed inside, with no major stains or smells. All of the appliances work. The original driving lights work intermittently. The rear view mirror plastic has deteriorated from the sun, it has been replaced with a universal one that mount to the windshield. Alway a California vehicle with no rust. Im sure I have forgot something, so please email or better yet come look at it prior to bidding/auction end.
